Buddy Alan Owens is the son of the late legendary Country Music Hall of Fame member, Buck Owens. Buddy appears a couple weekends a month at the venue built by his father, and he is carrying on the tradition of the Bakersfield honky tonk sound that was made famous worldwide by Buck Owens and his band, the Buckaroos.
The Buckaroos still play weekends at the Palace. They play with Buddy Alan Owens when he takes the stage in Bakersfield. Come on out and see Buddy and the Buckaroos perform. You will be glad you did! The Buckaroos are very unique in that they have been playing together for close to 40 yrs.
Doyle Singer, the bass guitarist and singer, has been in the band 40 yrs. Jim Shaw, the Piano player, has been with them 39 years. Terry Christopherson, the lead guitarist and steel guitar player, has been there 36 years. People travel from all over the world to see the legendary Buckaroos when they play with Buddy Alan Owens and then on some weekends when they play alone.
The Buck Owens Crystal Palace is not only the best place to country line dance in Bakersfield, California but is also the best place to country line dance in California and the United States.
Each member of this iconic band has unique talent, are world class musicians and also have a comedic flare about them. They must have picked a lot of that up from all the years on the television show, Hee-Haw. They were on all the shows with Buck Owens when he was the star and co-host of that top-rated series.
Buddy Alan Owens is a chip off the old block of his late father Buck Owens. He can sing, pick and he knows how to treat the crowd and paying customers who travel from places like Ireland, Holland, Denmark, London, Japan and Australia to see he, the Buckaroos and the Buck Owens Crystal Palace showplace that Buck Owens built.
The Bakersfield Sound has a huge legacy in country music, and Buddy Alan Owens and the Buckaroos are the best in the business at what they do.
